New Facade

Façade — The Views are Better Then Ever

100 Light will offer the best views in town when the exterior façade "benches" on all floors except the first office floor will be removed. The "benches" are an exterior architectural element that currently blocks outward view. Once removed, tenants can enjoy the most prominent view of the Harbor. Additionally, the benches will be reused as planter walls in the exterior plaza.

Lobby — The Welcome Is Warmer

The new lobby of 100 Light will extend a warm welcome to the thousands of tenants and guests that enter the building. The architect will replace the lobby glass with high-energy performance glazing and entry canopy. The lobby will be enlarged to create social seating areas with new furniture, security desks, and elevator design. The building will reopen the Charles Street entrance to the public. Four energy efficient uplights will replace the exterior building lighting at the building corners.

Outdoor Plaza — The Plaza Is Greener

The outdoor plaza at 100 Light will come to life with a unique green curb appeal after the renovations are complete. The hardscape plaza will be converted to a lush green space, including planters, trees, lawn, trellises, dining and seating areas, and bike racks. Existing granite pavers and removed window ledge benches will be reused in the new plaza design. The plaza deck will also be re-waterproofed overtop the underground parking garage.
